Touching on Representative Hoshino's way of thinking,
My view of work has changed.

After graduating from university, my first job was in sales at an IT systems company. When looking for a job, I wanted to experience working for a large company, such as a listed company, and I was interested in a job in sales, so I focused on these two things when looking for a job. As a result, I chose to work in the IT field, which was completely different from my personal preferences.

When I entered the company as a new graduate and entered my second year, I started to get used to the job and was given more challenging work, but at the same time I started to wonder, ``Is it really okay to master this job and keep going?'' I thought, ``Maybe there's something else I want to do?'' and decided to change jobs. Actually, when I was a student, I worked part-time for a culinary researcher, and even after joining the company as a new graduate, I continued to help out a little, such as publishing books. At about the same time that I was thinking about changing jobs, I received an invitation to work at the restaurant she runs, asking me if I would like to work with her again. Therefore, I decided to work with him on a two-year agreement to open a shop with him.

When the promised two years were approaching, and I was thinking about what to do next, I started reading articles and books written by CEO Hoshino, and I started thinking about the future, saying that ``Hoshino Resorts will change Japan's tourism industry.'' I was impressed by the company's significance.

My experience at a restaurant and exposure to CEO Hoshino's way of thinking led to a change in my view of work, which I had previously considered completely separate from my private life. As I grew older and experienced more, I began to find it interesting to be involved in ``parts of someone's life'' such as meals and travel.

Work related to someone's "food, clothing, and shelter" was directly connected to the "hotel industry." I also felt a lot of sympathy for Representative Hoshino. As a result, the answer I came up with was that my next job would be Hoshino Resorts.

One bride and groom changed me.
Bridal work is fun!

I was assigned to Karuizawa Hotel Breast Court. I remember feeling relieved when I was first assigned to Karuizawa, the closest place to Tokyo, as I had no experience working in a rural area. I chose hotels as a job related to food, clothing, and shelter, and I joined Hoshino Resorts because I had experience working in restaurants and was particularly interested in the food field. I had zero awareness of Hoshino Resorts as a bridal business, so my first assignment was in the bridal coordinator department working in Tokyo. There is also a ``Transfer Request Survey System'' where you can express your wishes regarding transfer, so I was thinking of transferring to a department related to accommodation such as [Kai] in a few years.

I didn't particularly want to work in the bridal industry, so to be honest, the first six months weren't interesting at all. However, I was grateful to my seniors who gave me thorough training, and since they took the time to develop me, I should work in the bridal department for a few years to repay them. That's what I thought.

What changed me was an encounter with a bride and groom who were very particular about their wedding. The two of us pay close attention to every detail, and during meetings I often find myself wondering, ``Why do they want to check so much detail?'' However, those doubts were blown away on the wedding day. Her wedding party that day was so amazing! The decorations, flowers, paper items, etc. and the overall balance of the venue created a synergistic effect, and I even felt like it was not a venue I was familiar with. It's a party I'll never forget.

Looking at the smiling faces of the couple and the words of gratitude they received after the event, I realized, ``Even though we could have had such a wonderful wedding party, there were probably a lot of things that we couldn't do because I had rejected them based on my preconceptions.'' Maybe it was...'' I reflected on my attitude up until now. From now on, we will try harder to fulfill the wishes of the bride and groom. What an interesting job in the bridal industry, where each person has different things they want to do, and it gives form to their desires. I started to feel that way.

Around the same time that my motivation for bridal work increased, I decided to become the person who could talk about food the most on the coordinator team (reservation unit). As a result of investing in myself by visiting famous French restaurants and purchasing and tasting high-quality wine on my days off, I am now able to talk about the specialties of the food served at [Hotel Breston Court] and gain confidence. I did. Through my work, I started wanting more knowledge, which led to self-improvement. I used to want to separate my work and private life, but I now feel that they have a synergistic effect.

I made use of my experience and what I like.
Challenge yourself to the next step.

I was completely hooked on the charm of bridal work, but by the time I joined the company for three years, I had learned the basics of working as a bridal coordinator, so I started thinking about my next step. After considering a job that would allow me to utilize my experience as a coordinator and convey the wonders of weddings to customers from the very beginning, I chose bridal marketing. I worked in Tokyo for about four months, but at the same time I was preparing to move to Karuizawa. I decided to move to Karuizawa, where [Hotel Breston Court] is based. At that time, I wasn't making a big decision to move to Karuizawa permanently, but I was just thinking, ``I'd like to spend about two years in Karuizawa and get to know Karuizawa better.''

Three years have passed since I lived in Karuizawa. I have been making decisions every three years. After three years, I decided, ``Let's work more in Karuizawa.I want to continue being involved in the wedding business.'' Then, I decided to put my feet on the ground in Karuizawa, my home base, and do my best, and in September 3, I took the next step, participating in the General Manager/Unit Director Candidate Presentation Competition. From December 3, I became the director of a new unit called [Generous Karuizawa].
