"Hoshino Onsen Tombo-no-yu" has resumed operations.
"Hoshino Onsen Tombo no Yu" has completed two and a half months of maintenance, and reopened with a new look on Saturday, March 2, 2023. The lighting has been renewed upon reopening. You can now enjoy the changing seasons of Tombo-no-Yu, which is rich in nature, even more.
A natural scene emerges
The trees in the forest adjacent to Tombo-no-Yu are illuminated and reflected in the pond connected to the open-air bath, making them appear like a picture scroll.
The color and brightness of the lighting changes depending on the season. For the upcoming spring and summer months, we are working to make the greenery of the trees feel lighter.
Light changes slowly, not only with the seasons but also with the passage of time. Please enjoy the difference in atmosphere depending on the time.
``Shinra Hyaksen'' that conveys the nature of the four seasons
By telling our customers about the rich nature that surrounds Tombo-no-Yu, we hope that they will have a better time while bathing. With this in mind, I decided to display calligraphy and paintings that convey the nature of the four seasons.
Yushin, a calligrapher and ink artist living in Karuizawa, expresses the changing seasons that Tombo no Yu staff see and the things they feel from them in the form of calligraphy and paintings.
Calligraphy and paintings can be viewed at the entrance to both the women's and men's baths.
