"Karuizawa Umbrella Sky 2024" will not be held. A new event "organic wind" will be held from May 5th to June 20th.

Karuizawa Umbrella Sky is a festival where the streets of Harunire Terrace are decorated with over 100 colorful umbrellas. In 2023, it will be held from June 6nd to July 2th. Umbrella Sky exclusive drinks are on sale and there are also weekend-only events. Please go out in a sunny mood even on rainy days.

Umbrella arcade and soap bubble time

The rainy season is the season when Karuizawa's greenery shines vividly. We are holding "Karuizawa Umbrella Sky 2023" with the hope that you can look up at the sky and feel radiant in the beautiful greenery, whether it's a rainy or sunny day.

In the ``Umbrella Arcade'' where colorful umbrellas decorate the streets of Harunire Terrace, soap bubbles shaped like a rainbow after the rain float three times a day. Don't miss the competition between umbrellas and soap bubbles.

Dinner time light up

Light up your umbrella as the sun sets. Enjoy the fantastic scenery like a rainbow in the night sky. We also recommend having dinner on the restaurant's terrace while watching the light up.

"Rainy art" that only appears on rainy days

When the wooden deck gets wet with rain, patterns in the shape of forest creatures emerge. Why not look for the leaves of the spring elm (Harunire Terrace), from which the name Harunire Terrace comes from, as well as squirrels, Asiatic black bears, and other animals?

Special event “Making large soap bubbles”

Using the framework of the umbrella used in last year's Umbrella Sky, we created a soap bubble making machine called "Kasha Bone." Why not try your hand at making big soap bubbles with Kashabone?

Umbrella making workshop

The only umbrella in the world made by a parent and child

Create your own original umbrella by assembling the umbrella and pasting decoration stickers with motifs of creatures from the Karuizawa forest. The stickers were made from recycled umbrella fabric used at past events.

Umbrella Sky limited drinks will be sold at Harunire Terrace stores and Café Hungry Spot. A drink that will put a smile on your face, whether it's a rainy or sunny day.
