During the event, in addition to the permanent sauna at Tombo no Yu, a special tent sauna will be set up where you can enjoy self-loyly. The loyly, which uses aromatic water inspired by the forests of Karuizawa, adjusts humidity and the perceived temperature, promoting metabolism. You can also experience "whisking," a bathing culture with a long history in Europe. This authentic relaxation treatment, provided by a leading whisking expert in Japan, will comfortably warm your entire body. Furthermore, in both saunas, you can enjoy a luxurious sauna experience surrounded by nature while looking out the window at the forest view.

The open-air bath becomes a giant cold bath!?An open-air bath and a rest area overlooking the forest have been introduced!

One of the attractions of Tombo no Yu is the cold water bath (water temperature: 13°C) that uses spring water from "Karuizawa Wild Bird Forest." During events, in addition to the regular cold water bath, the bathtub that is usually used as an open-air bath is transformed into a huge open-air cold water bath at about 20°C! The space in front of the indoor bath, which is usually a pond, is transformed into a "Totonoi Space" where you can relax while looking out at the forest. In this space, original drinks are prepared for you to enjoy after the sauna, poured into original tumblers.

The adjacent casual dining restaurant, "Sammin Shokudo," serves "Saunabe," a post-sauna meal. They offer a variety of hot pot dishes, including the local Shinshu dish "Touji Soba" and "Beef Motsunabe - Shinshu Miso Style," which is based on garlicky Shinshu miso and white miso. To further enhance your sweat, we recommend toppings such as spicy miso and special chili oil.
