Why not come and play the piano at your leisure in the forest under the clear autumn sky? We welcome both breathtaking performances and heartwarming melodies played with just one finger.

Piano for everyone that anyone can play and listen to

A piano that once emitted beautiful tones at a villa in Karuizawa has been installed in the plaza in front of the Hoshino Onsen Tombo bath. I want to play it! Anyone who thinks so can play it. Please limit your time to around 5 minutes per person and give each other time.
*If there are many people wishing to perform, we may limit the time and number of times each person can perform.

A request tree that connects musicians and non-musicians

At the venue, we will be accepting requests for songs you would like to hear. Please write the song title and an episode on a card and hang it on the "Request Tree" next to the piano. If you can play the piano, why not play a song from your repertoire if someone requests one? People can connect with each other through the Request Tree.

First appearance! "Straws Playing in the Forest"

Only on the day of the Forest Piano event, we will hand out "Forest Musical Straws" at Cafe Hungry Spot. Attach a musical note prop to the straw and enjoy it with your favorite drink. You can feel like you are touching the music even while drinking a drink.

First time! A relaxing space where you become one with the forest: "Forest Piano at Dusk"

This year, for the first time, we will be holding the "Twilight Forest Piano" event only from September 9th to 13th.
During the evening hours from 16pm to 19pm, forest piano hours will be extended and a relaxation space will be provided.
Why not drop in and spend some relaxing time playing the piano or listening to music? At the same time, there will also be a "Starry Sky Beer Stand" by Ginga Kogen Beer. Free samples of Ginga Kogen Beer and snacks will be provided. It's a time to relax and become one with the sound of the piano and nature.

A place where people can loosely connect

We hope that the Hoshino area will be a place where people can connect loosely and feel enriched. Those who live in Karuizawa and those who visit, those who are here now and those who are not, those who play the piano and those who do not. The sounds of the Mori piano connect people.
