Harunire Terrace "Organic Wind" - 100 colors of natural fabrics swaying in the spring breezeEvent period 2025/4/28~6/10

Harunire Terrace will host "Organic Wind," an installation of naturally dyed fabrics in 100 different colors swaying in the spring breeze. Sustainable workshops will also be held, and baked goods made from bran, the outer layer of wheat that is discarded during the flour production process, will also be on sale.

Re-dyeing fabric used last year An installation of 100 colors swaying in the wind
The colorful cloth was dyed with natural materials harvested in Nagano Prefecture, such as knotweed, walnut, madder, and bayberry. Each piece of cloth has a different color, creating a gradation. By re-dyeing the cloth that was displayed last year, the color has become deeper and the texture is softer.

Sustainable workshops
Workshops will be held during the event at the "Mominoki Square" next to Tombo no Yu. You can enjoy sustainable workshops such as the "Leaf and Print Workshop" by solosolo, an artist living in Omachi, Nagano Prefecture, who created the 100-color cloth, and the "Lost Flower Candle Organic Wind - An installation of 100-color dyed cloth swaying in the spring breeze" using flowers that were going to be discarded at a flower shop in Karuizawa.
*Workshop information will be announced from mid-March.

Harunire Terrace's sweets contribute to reducing food waste
Karuizawa Vegetable Kokopelli at Harunire Terrace will be selling baked goods to reduce food waste during the event. They will be offering simple yet mild-tasting shortbread and cookies made with seasonal herbs and bran, the outer layer of wheat that is discarded during the flour production process, for a limited time only.
