In order to connect Bear Dog to the future, we are taking on the challenge of crowdfunding!
Picchio, an NPO, has a dog that works to help coexist with humans and bears.bear dogWe will start the ``Bear Dog Future Project'' in order to pass on this tradition to the next generation.
Bear Dog is an important member of Picchio who is indispensable for activities for coexistence. We are currently planning to breed our third generation bear dog, Lela, to give birth to the next generation of bear dogs. To make this happen, she will try crowdfunding.
What is Bear Dog?
A bear dog is a professional dog that has been specially trained to detect the scent and presence of bears.
While following the staff's instructions, barking loudly and chasing the bear deep into the forest, he is able to treat everyone kindly.

Funds for breeding and raising bear dogs!
In order to continue and develop Bear Dog's activities, it is necessary to start with breeding, manage the working dogs over their lifetime, and train handlers (breeders and trainers). We need to secure long-term and stable funds for this purpose. I'm worried. Currently, we are short on some operating costs (approximately 300 million yen), including the cost of bringing the male dog and staff to Japan from America for breeding, the cost of repairing the breeding shed and dog run, and the cost of vaccinations for the puppies. We ask for your kind support in order to connect Bear Dog to the future.
*Thank you for achieving the first goal and the challenge of the next goal
Thanks to the support of over 300 people, we were able to reach our goal of 2 million yen on December 12th, just over two weeks after the start. I sincerely thank you. There are still 24 days left, so we have set the next goal. Detail ishere
